Recollections of a Labour Day

Was just lying on my bed, cant get to sleep, my mind was full of things ... many things ... all started from last year's labour's day

1st May 2004
It's a holiday! Think back of it, its one of the most memorable holiday I ever had, no I did not spend it in Rome or Iceland. It was a friends gathering at YT's house.

The day was beautiful, L & B were together, complemented by the banyan tree of YT, two tables of mahjong, delectable pasta prepared by YT's mum, YT's barky doggie, 1st time knowing Erwin, 1st time knowing Cindy and Del, and of coz ... 1st time knowing JN ("you are quite gentleman in helping in helping to pack the chairs")

How funny when Louis wanted to matchmake me to Linus, but instead things went a funny turn, a literal turn ... Ben sent me, Linus and Jim back home in his car ... I was kinda jealous of Linus, and the funny thing is Jim was kinda jealous of him too! Story from there continues.

Life really changed much from there, in fact, too much for me to handle .. human relationships became much more complex to handle. The ultra drama issue between P, P and S scared me a little, actually not little, but really shaken me. Not forgetting another scary episode of P,W, and S ... All the promises of liking someone and not falling for another one (no, I'm not asking you to wait, but its really too fast to fall for another person .. too scary and makes me wonder how valid words can be)

I have been an hermit since then, had been living in the past, questioning whats really happening, why i am struggling to live in other people's shadows ...

it is time .....

Its coming to year end, and christmas is arriving shortly too ..

Come to think of it, the year passes fast, real fast ... evaluation for the year? Went through a few patches for the year, marks a special year as I have never been that down before, however, have learnt one thing -

"treasure things as they are now, changes do come, and when they do, embrace the fact that you had enjoy already"

thanks S and J for coming into my life for the year 2004, you two have made an impact to my life, although I've said nasty things and being bad tempered, but believe it, you have a special place in my heart (Don't worry, not hoping for reconciliation, can't imagine that anyway *yuck*)

thanks to the gang who crossed my path (the gang whom I celebrated Christmas at my place, and New Year at East Coast), this two events will mark significantly in my book of memories, you know who you guys are.

PS: Don't be mistaken, I am not attempting suicide, just being nostalgic

milk + chilli crab = ?

had my vege crisp dipped in this real solid chinchalok, dunk in milk before heading for real solid famed amk chilli crab in the name of having a birthday dinner with my friend

was quite amazed that both of us can actually finish up 2 quite big chilli crabs, mantous, baby kailan, deep fried beancurd (yum yum)

the finale of the night is walking in bishan park after dinner, i must say i was really hyper when i saw the amt of candle lights illuminating the whole park. Its really heart warming to see families having picnics, children lighting up cadles, teens playing a fool, couples strolling down holding a lantern (ouch) ... of coz, inevitably a wift of sadness passed by me

its moments like these that made me thought of pple whom have walked past my life ... to pple out there, cherish who you have out there, coz when you lose them, they only become memories, and memories brings abt pinning, which does not really help matters

ok, back to the walk in bishan park, finally went to this real nice cafe smacked right in the middle of bishan park, ate poached apple with rum 'n' raisins ... have to really drag myself back home

now looking at my snow skin mooncake, should i devour it?

Changes - something which everyone of us go through all the time, a matter of either embracing it or cursing it - your choice

-Meeting up with YT, wasnt thinking of eating anything ... ended up at Ding Tai Fung

-Was just thinking of a basket of xiao long bao coz 2 of us didnt have much appetite ... ended 2 of us ate up 3 baskets of delicacies

-Just plainly walking ard to pass time before going to drink ... ended up buying 3 CDs

-Was just casually drinking Erdinger at one of the Irish pub ... ended up filling application to work there

-Went to Carrefour to get myself chocolates which was stated $5 ... ended up paying $1

-Expecting myself to be mugging away for tomorrow's lecture ... ended up over here typing my day's journal

Talking about changes ... Embracing it (not submitting to it) makes one a more positive person

Met up with phil this afternoon, maybe kinda tired esp when i slept at 0430 the night before, quite quiet

grrrr, was tricked down to kbox, thought got free lunch, but only to realised its some jeff wang's INTERNATIONAL fan club thingy, dun want my face amidst the fans to appear on some entertain news and then my mum come ard to ask 'Son, since when you have such poor taste?'

Had a healthy lunchie at subway .. hehehhe, phil still want to eat a small small portion, kena one big time from me, must be the malnutrition thats why nose bleed (since there's no cute ones ard), saw S, must agree felt funny coz has been some time since I opened my mouth to talk to him, a typical Leo he is, moment he sees me, must brag abt his new date, encounters he had lunch with him earlier, all these kinda wanna make me puke, find that he is trying to show off that he has found someone good and living better than me? i dun know ...

Just finished my jog with Jim, had a real good dinner with his family, words really cant describe when his dad pick dishes and put onto my rice, very very touched ... really heart warming when the whole family was chatting and eating away happily throughout the whole dinner ... things went on real fine till heartlanders showed ... jim quickly finished his dinner and off he went over to the tv, leaving me all alone with the parents!

looking forward to tomorrow's outing!

Hmmm, this gonna be my very first post here .. had a chat with phil this afternnon, just needed someone to hear out what's on my mind ... story goes on ...

S msged me yesterday and the sms goes something like,' me now dating a few pple, and guess what, one of them looks very much like the guy on the front coverof the latest men's health' ... somehow this sms struck me quite a bit, its not so much that i have not let go or what, but i was left confused at what he is exactly doing, dating a few pple??

Is it because i have hurt him so deeply thats why he is reacting like this? or is it that he is trying to spite me? I dun know ... On seeing the sms, it was a total mix of feelings comprising relief, happy, envy, jealous which really want to make me puke. Don't get me wrong, I have gotten well over him, he will always have that special place in my heart same as my other significant ex'es for it is fate that pple crosses each others' lives and make that someone special for that moment

Hmmm, maybe i really shouldnt start my blog on such a sad note but well again, isnt this the outlet to say whats in each deepest thoughts?
